Krewella’s Rain Man Sues Bandmates Yasmine & Jahan

Krewella
Looks like it’s splitsville for Krewella.
The trio is now officially a duo after beatsmith Kris “Rain Man” Trindl filed a $5 million suit against frontwomen Yasmine and Jahan Yousaf, alleging they and manager Jake Udell conspired to axe him from the group.
The tiff seems to stem from the time after the group’s humble EDM beginnings in Chicago found the members on the verge of pop stardom with the success of their single “Alive.” The notorious hard-partying ways of the group caught up with Trindl, according to the suit, and he entered rehab. Udell and the Yousaf sisters allegedly interpreted his quest for sobriety as depression and staged an intervention. Rain Man is also accused of missing show dates that the sisters played in his absence during this time.
The final straw appears to be Columbia Records’ promotion of Krewella, with a Billboard featuring Yasmine and Jahan, but missing Trindl.
The serious bad blood boiling among the three is tragic given the success they found with hits such as “Killin’ It,” but it’s also depressing to know that the three will probably never work together — or be friends — again.
